Russian Giprovostokneft celebrates its 75th anniversary
Founded in 1946, Giprovostokneft was designed to provide a comprehensive solution to the construction of oil fields and mechanical engineering in the eastern regions of the country and in the Volga-Kama region, introducing new techniques for the exploitation of oil fields
Since joining Zarubezhneft in 2004, Giprovostokneft has been acting as a general designer for the upstream subsidiaries of the company.
Having started working in the interests of the post-war economy and having passed with it the period of rapid growth of oil & gas production in the 70s, the institute played an outstanding role in the development of the oil industry of the Volga Region, Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Udmurtia, the Komi Republic, the Nenets Autonomous Region, Siberia, the North Caucasus, as well as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Egypt, Cuba, Iraq, Algeria, Ecuador and South Africa.
Thousands of unique developments of Giprovostokneft have formed the basis for the development of hundreds of oil & gas fields around the world.
Having become a part of Zarubezhneft, the Institute conducts design works at the company's fields in Russia - Kharyaginsky, Lutseyakhsky, Pashkinsky, Kirsanovsky and abroad - in Cuba and Uzbekistan.
As part of the digital transformation taking place at Zarubezhneft, the Institute actively uses 3D design technology to create and maintain information models of projected objects at all stages of the life cycle, as well as to develop a comprehensive design automation system.
The team of Giprovostokneft consists of 750 employees, including specialists with academic degrees, representatives of different scientific schools and generations.
To date, the Institute's specialists have experience in implementing projects together with such leading industry representatives as Fluor, Petrofac, Total, Exxon, Linde, etc.
At the same time, all the Institute's projects provide for environmental and technological safety during the entire range of works.
Other areas of Giprovostokneft's development include engineering support for the construction of facilities, consulting services, development of substantiating and regulatory documents.
