In his speech, the head of the oil and gas company highlighted the following topics:
- an overview of modern world and industry trends of energy markets development
- the strategies of oil companies in the face of changes in the external environment, including using the example of Zarubezhneft development strategy
The project program was formed with the participation of Russian and international experts.
It covers a wide range of subject areas, the study of which is not included in the standard curriculum of the university.
Within the framework of the event, 19 undergraduates of Gubkin University who completed their training in the course «Methods of enhanced oil recovery» at the «School of Oil Engineering», established by Zarubezhneft, have received awards.
Zarubezhneft and Gubkin University have strong partnerships.
The company conducts research and development on the basis of this educational institution, actively supports student scientific initiatives, implements a set of measures to promote employment for the best university graduates within Zarubezhneft, including in international projects.
The university consists of 12 faculties and 84 departments, as well as 2 branches (in Orenburg and Tashkent, Uzbekistan), 4 practice bases in Tver, Orenburg, Crimea.
The academic teaching staff is 800 people.
The total number of students, including branches, is over 11 000.
About 60% of students study at all forms of education at the expense of the federal budget.
About 2 200 foreign students from 56 countries study at the university, including China, Vietnam, Venezuela, Bolivia, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus.
