"We have got Puritan Bennett 840 units, one of the best in the world. These units register the tiniest changes in breath patterns and are suitable for patients of all ages. On behalf of our hospital, I would like to express our deep gratitude to the LUKOIL leader for his help in providing necessary equipment," said Maxim Churkin, the head physician of the Central District Hospital of Usinsk.
The hospital had earlier received a portable ultrasound machine, surgical suction units, a video gastroscope, a high-definition display, a video processor, ECG recorders, intensive care beds, expendable supplies and individual protective gear for its medical personnel.
LUKOIL has been supporting healthcare institutions of the Republic of Komi and Nenets Autonomous District since the very outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company helped to install a centralized oxygen and compressed air supply system in the infectious disease ward of the Central District Hospital of Usinsk and to create a hospital Wi-Fi network with unlimited Internet access.
LUKOIL also rendered its aid to the hospitals in the towns of Ukhta and Pechora and in the city of Naryan-Mar. All told, LUKOIL donated over RUB 668 million to support 22 Russian regions in their fight against COVID-19.
