LUKOIL keeps investing into Yugra social sphere

Kogalym, March 18 - Neftegaz.RU. Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra, signed an additional agreement for 2022.

The signing took place on March 17 in the city of Kogalym (Yugra region) in presence of Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council, and Vladimir Yakushev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Ural Federal District.

The document provides for further support of the region's social sphere.
Among other things, the company will continue construction and reconstruction of public amenities and utilities in Kogalym, outfitting a ski track in Langepas, beautification of public areas and yards in Urai, and creating an active leisure zone with a ski resort in Pokachi.

Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, said:
  • Even under external economic limitations, LUKOIL will fully deliver on its commitments to the state and society
  • For us, Yugra has always been an area to implement pioneer social projects and create important culture facilities
LUKOIL will also aid the Charity Fund for Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Russian Far East and continue to organize LUKOIL's Social & Culture Projects Contest.
In total, social investments in the region will amount to about RUB 1.5 billion.

Yugra is one of Russia's richest regions in terms of mineral resources.
It is in this region that LUKOIL was originally established.
The name of the company consists of the initial letters of the names of the 3 cities: Langepas, Urai and Kogalym.
