Gazprom Transgaz Surgut creating reserve of key personnel immune to coronavirus

Surgut, December 14 - Neftegaz.RU. Gazprom Transgaz Surgut is taking additional measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection. The measures involve the key personnel of the gas transmission company's units and services who are essential to the continuity and reliability of the production process.

The company has approximately 9,000 employees. The restrictions on access to the company's facilities and the workplaces of the key employees have been tightened to minimize the risk of contagion.

If the epidemiological situation deteriorates, the key operating personnel will start working autonomously. For that purpose, they will move to the places of temporary accommodation where they will be completely isolated from others, including their family members.

All units and production sites are creating personnel reserves comprising primarily the employees who have already recovered from COVID-19 and have specific immunity. The company has successfully adopted measures that will allow it to promptly appoint temporary replacements for top executives and selected specialists in branch offices and services from among the members of the reserve personnel who are immune to the coronavirus.

Gazprom Transgaz Surgut is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company has 26 branches, including 14 gas pipeline operation centers with 38 compressor shops and 273 gas compressor units. Gazprom Transgaz Surgut operates over 6,500 km of gas trunklines running from the Zapolyarny town to the borders of the Omsk and Kurgan Regions, and transmits nearly 200 billion cu m of pipeline gas per year.
