Tatneft delivered 6 mllion masks to Tatarstan

Kazan, April 13 - Neftegaz.RU. The charter flight, which landed in Kazan on April 10, delivered 5.8 million medical masks to Tatarstan from the Chinese city of Tianjin, 6 production lines for the manufacture of masks and protective products from woven and non-woven materials, airtight boxes for the transportation of coronavirus infected patients, etc.

Tatneft chartered the Ruslan, which is one of the world's largest cargo lifting aircraft, to arrange the delivery. The company also purchased 2.8 million medical masks, a line for their production, as well as supplies for sewing anti-infection kits. The company will provide the protective equipment for medical personnel, personnel of the Tatneft’s enterprises and emergency personnel of the South-Eastern part of the Republic.

Earlier, Tatneft started the production of protective masks, suits and overalls for the medical personnel and emergency services at the company’s enterprises. The company quickly kick-started the production of antiseptics at the TANECO complex that meet WHO requirements, which are provided to the Tatneft enterprises. After receiving permits, TANECO will be able to transfer the disinfectant solution to the social services of the Republic. Tatneft began refueling ambulance vehicles in the South-Eastern part of Tatarstan for free at the company’s filling stations. The company’s equipment will be used for cleaning and treating the streets on the round-the-clock. Volunteers of Tatneft will provide social, psychological and other assistance to the elderly population of the South-Eastern part of the Republic.

Albert Karimov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan said: “The aircraft has been chartered by Tatneft. Thanks to the company, it has been possible to collect this cargo and bring it to Tatarstan within the shortest possible period of time”.
