Baku, November 20 - Neftegaz.RU. Zaur Jalilov has been appointed as the new director of LUKOIL Azerbaijan closed joint-stock company, Russia’s company told Trend.
Zaur Jalilov, who earlier served as commercial manager at LUKOIL Italia S.r.l. (Rome), was appointed to the new post on October 25. He replaced Aydar Abdulin, who has been appointed as a chief engineer at LUKOIL-Trans LLC.
As LUKOIL said, personnel changes are carried out in accordance with LUKOIL’s policy in the field of personnel management and personnel rotation practices for heads of the company's subsidiaries.
LUKOIL-Azerbaijan operates in the country since 1993. The company manages 58 petrol stations and an oil depot, which ensures transfer of 320,000 tons of oil per year. The company has a 10 % stake in the Shah Deniz and South Caucasus Pipeline projects.
LUKOIL intends to expand its presence in Azerbaijan, President of the company Vagit Alekperov told reporters in March 2019. He noted that the company is interested in participating in such projects as “Umid-Babek” and “Absheron” in Azerbaijan.
