Nigeria Labour Congress, the country?s major trade union body is preparing to a second general strike against fuel price rises, and has warned it will target oil exports.
Its leaders have called oil giant Royal Dutch/Shell Group an "enemy of the Nigerian people" and called for action against the company. Shell has tried to prevent two unions from striking, blaming internal issues.
The scandal in Nigeria caused the next rise of crude oil prices.
NLC president Adams Oshiomhole said that the next strike - due to start on 16 November - would be indefinite and total, hitting both the production and export of crude oil. The body aims to increase pressure on Nigeria?s President Olusegun Obasanjo.
