Norwegian firm Hydro Aluminum is looking into the possibility of building two aluminum plants in Russia.

The company considers the opportunity to build one plant in Russia's northwest and one in the Far East.

The Khabarovsk territory administration disclosed some details of a possible project to the news agency after a visit of a Hydro Aluminum delegation to the area.

According to the administration, HydroOGK signed a cooperation agreement with Norsk Hydro and Rosnor AS in relation to the project.

The volume of investments in the plant in the Khabarovsk territory is estimated at $2 billion, the administration?s website reports.
