18 oil workers of TamanNefteGaz have been killed on August 25, 2017, in southern Russia after a bus carrying construction workers plunged into the sea.
Several companies are drilling for oil off the Russian Black Sea coast.
An emergency service source disclosed earlier that the bus was transporting shift workers involved in the construction of a dock for the TamanNefteGaz energy company.
The Emergency Situations Ministry said 45 people were on the bus, with 27 being rescued by divers.
15 people are in hospital, 5 of them in serious condition.
Investigators did not immediately say why the bus drove off the pier, but local officials pointed to faulty brakes.
Tass quoted the town hall of the Temryuk district as saying that the bus drove along the pier for nearly a quarter of a mile before the brakes failed.
