During this period, the total volume of aviation fuel supplied to Georgia amounted to 73.5 thousand tons.
The supply of these products from Turkmenistan accounted for about 74.7% of the total volume of aviation fuel purchased by Georgia for 10 months of this year. Turkmenistan has become a leader among suppliers of aviation fuel to Georgia.
Azerbaijan took the 2nd place in terms of supplies (12 thousand tons), the 3rd – Italy (10.5 thousand tons).
It is also reported that in January-October Georgia increased the volume of purchased aviation fuel by 54.7% compared to the same period last year.
A significant increase in its imports is associated with the resumption of flightsm this trend is predicted to continue in the near future.
It is noteworthy that Georgia actively purchases other types of oil products from Turkmenistan.
So, in the 1st half of 2021, 122.6 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel fuel were supplied to Georgia from our country, which amounted to 23% of the total import of these products.
Georgia imported a total of 11.7 billion kWh of electricity during the 1st 8 months of the year.
