Iran has brought on stream a $3.4 billion Bid Boland gas refinery

Teheran, January 22 - Neftegaz.RU. President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated Persian Gulf Bid Boland Gas Refinery in the southwestern province of Khuzestan. He noted that the achievement was made while Iran has been under the sanctions imposed on Iran by the U.S.

Speaking in the inauguration ceremony of the project, Iran’s Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said:

• that the team of former US President Trump thought that with sanctioning Iranian oil and putting Iran under pressure, they can bring the country to its knees,
• but Iran became stronger than before and they themselves were thrown on the ash heap of history.

Its the largest gas refinery project in West Asia with an investment of $3.4 billion.
The project created 15,000 jobs during its construction.


The plant’s daily processing capacity is over 56 million m3 of APG as much as the output of 2 phases of South Pars.
With the project reaching its full capacity in near future, this complex is expected to bring the country $700 million of revenue every year.


Annually 10.4 million tons of methane, 1.5 million tons of ethane, 1 million tons of propane, 0.5 million tons of butane, 0.6 million tons of gas condensate, 0.9 million tons of acid gas will be produced at the Persian Gulf Bid Boland gas refinery.

With the complete implementation of the mentioned project, the production capacity of sweet and other gases will increase, which will be used to feed petrochemical plants in Mahshahr and supply urban areas in the Iran´s region.
