Nur-Sultan, November 2 - Neftegaz.RU. Kazakhstan’s state-run KazMunayGas and Linde, the leading global industrial gases and engineering company, have signed a MoU to develop jointly clean energy projects in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan has a significant reserve of natural gas.
The partners will conduct a feasibility study to implement a project to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia in Kazakhstan.

In the 1st phase, the partners will explore the possibility of producing hydrogen and ammonia using natural gas or water electrolysis.

Linde has decades of experience in the field of hydrogen plants and has built more than 200 plants for hydrogen manufacture with capacities of from 1,000 to over 100,000 Nm³/h.

Kazmunaygas is currently developing a Low-Carbon development program until 2031, including specific targets and examining prospects for implementing decarbonization technology at production projects.
