Moscow, March 25 - Neftegaz.RU. Russia is willing to be flexible about payment options for «friendly» countries and appears to be serious about moving away from the dollar and euro.
Ally and neutral states such as China and Turkey, could also pay in Chinese yuan, Turkish lira or to use bitcoin digital currency to buy gas.

The head of Russia's State Duma energy committee Pavel Zavalny said:
  • We have been proposing to China for a long time to switch to national currencies for rubles and yuan
  • With Turkey it will be lira and rubles
  • You can also trade bitcoins
The friendly nation China has declared all crypto-related transactions as illegal which means Russia's new offer might not be so appealing to the country.
Turkey, on the other hand, may very well partake in Russia's new offer.

The price of the cryptocurrency spiked around the time that news reports of Zavalny’s remarks 1st came up yesterday.
Bitcoin is in trading at about $44 350 today.

Energy is the most important source of income for Russia.
According to Reuters, Russian oil & gas revenues exceeded initial plans by 51.3% in 2021, totalling $119 billion.
