Zarubezhneft CEO took part in the meeting between Russian PM and President of Vietnam

Moscow, December 1 - Neftegaz.RU. As part of the official visit to Russia of Vietnam's president Nguyen Xuan Phuc, a meeting was held with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, where the participants discussed the status and prospects of long-term cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the oil & gas industry in the presence of Russian Minister of Energy Nikolay Shulginov.

Sergey Kudryashov, the General Director of Zarubezhneft, also attended the meeting.
Before the meeting Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam national oil & gas corporation signed a MoU in areas of perspective development within the framework of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture and Rusvietpetro.

This year marks 40-th anniversary of cooperation between 2 state-owned companies - Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam - this is a unique date for such international projects in the oil & gas sector.

The joint ventures Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro are the largest Russian-Vietnamese energy projects, demonstrating high efficiency, the results of which provide stable income to the budgets of Vietnam and Russia.
Since their establishment the enterprises have provided contributions of over $40 billion to the budget of Vietnam and about $5 billion to the budget of Russia.

Over the past few years in Vietnam, the list of joint projects has been increased from 2 to 8 (at the moment the joint projects of Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam provide 42% of oil production and more than 20% of gas production in Vietnam).

In th Russia, Rusvietpetro, the enterprise with participating interest structure mirrored to that of Vietsovpetro, produces more than 3 million tons of oil per year at 14 fields in the Far North.

Following the current trends in energy development, Zarubezhneft implements projects that can shape the future of Vietnam's energy sector with zero emissions.
So, together with the world leader in offshore wind energy, the Belgian company DEME, came out with a proposal for the project to create an offshore wind farm with a capacity of 1000 MW in the province of Binh Thuan.

For its part, Zarubezhneft supports the desire of Vietnamese partners to expand their activities in the Russian Federation within the framework of Rusvietpetro in the Nenets Autonomous District.
