The visit was opened by a meeting with the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Area Yuri Bezdudny, at which the participants discussed the matters of cooperation between Zarubezhneft's subsidiaries and the region and prospects for the development of the Nenets Autonomous Area.
Sergey Kudryashov, the General Director of Zarubezhneft, said:

An agreement was reached on the continuation of the joint work of Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam, as well as on the establishment of a new joint company for participation in the development of oil and gas fields in Russia - Rusvietpetro.
Rusvietpetro has 14 fields in development: 301 production, 18 injection and 5 piezometric wells currently have a production potential of more than 8.9 thousand t.o.e. per day, which allows Rusvietpetro to be among the leading companies in the development of fields in the Timan-Pechora province.
The company employs over 1000 Russian and Vietnamese employees.
By 2020, the company has produced over 28 million tons of oil.
The subsidiary company of Zarubezhneft pays great attention to issues of social support and charitable assistance in the region.
In 2009, Rusvietpetro signed an agreement on cooperation with the Administration of the NAA in solving social problems.
Since that moment, a project for the construction of several significant educational facilities has been implemented.
