Among the delegation members were:
- Chairman of the Management Board of the Samruk-Kazyn Sovereign Wealth Fund Almasadam Satkaliyev
- Vice-Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Zhumabay Karagaev
- CEO of KazMunayGas Alik Aidarbayev
The esteemed guests learned about the full hydrocarbon production cycle: from extraction to treatment and transportation onshore.
LUKOIL specialists presented to the delegation the zero discharge system employed at all offshore projects of the company in the Barents Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Caspian Sea.
According to this principle, all industrial and residential waste is accumulated on the platform and transported onshore for safe recycling, purification and disposal.
Therefore, pollution of marine environment becomes virtually impossible.
The zero discharge principle constitutes a foundation of HELCOM recommendations for the countries operating in the Baltic shelf area.
The delegation also visited LUKOIL's Corporate Training Centre, which trains personnel of both onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities from Russian and foreign energy companies.
The esteemed guests praised environmental and technological aspects of operation of LUKOIL facilities and professional excellence of their employees.
LUKOIL discovered 9 fields (joint ventures included) with total recoverable reserves of 7 billion BOE in the Caspian Sea.
The company is actively developing the Vladimir Filanovsky and Yury Korchagin fields, while preparing to launch production at the Valery Grayfer field.
