The International Aviation Fuel Forum (IATA) has taken place in St Petersburg, Russia for the 1st time, with Gazprom Neft acting as General Partner, the company reported on May 26, 2017.
Gazprom Neft and Gazpromneft-Aero specialists presented at commercial and technical sessions of the Forum.
Alexander Dyukov, CEO, Gazprom Neft, commented: «Gazprom Neft’s aviation fuel business is developing rapidly. We are determined to double sales volumes as soon as 2025, reaching 4.5 million tonnes. We also plan to further strengthen our position on the international market and join the world’s top-20 most significant aviation fuel operators.»
Forum participants examined issues concerning the implementation of inclusive international standards in aviation refuelling, the use of digital data-transfer technologies in the aviation refuelling industry, and the outlook for market development in respect of oil products and the development of trading platforms in various parts of the world.
The 74th International Aviation Fuel Forum in St Petersburg has proved one of the most successful to date, with more than 650 delegates taking part.
57 of the world’s leading air carriers were represented, and more than 100 companies supplying aviation fuel and equipment for aircraft refuelling.
IATA is the industry’s most widely recognised organisation, setting standards in aviation refuelling, flight safety, ground handling operations, and billing settlements.
