Almaty, September 20 - Neftegaz.RU. Today Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov have opened a new lubricants plant in the Almaty region with an annual output of 100,000 tons.
The location of the facility makes it possible to optimize the logistics of LUKOIL's lubricants supplies in Kazakhstan and other countries of Central Asia.
The highest level of process automation allows for producing and shipping lubricants to the customer within 24 hours while the laboratory equipped to the latest standards guarantees the highest quality of products.
The plant was designed and built having in mind the potentially high seismic activity at the site. The lubricant plant will offer more than 200 jobs for citizens of Kazakhstan, including graduates of Kazakh universities.
Vagit Alekperov and Chairman of the Management Board of KazMunayGaz Alik Aidarbayev signed today an Agreement on Joint Studies.
The agreement continues the long-term successful cooperation between the 2 companies. Earlier this year LUKOIL, the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and KazMunayGaz concluded a contract for hydrocarbon exploration and production on the Zhenis block. Baseline agreement on the I-P-2 project was also signed earlier this year.
