Kazakhstan produces 29.6 mln tons of oil

Astana, May 15 - Neftegaz.RU. Kazakhstan oil production in the first 4 months of 2019 amounted to 29.5 million tons, First Vice Minister of Energy Makhambet Dosmukhambetov said during the government meeting on May 14

Compared to March, oil production decreased by 1.1%, which is associated with the planned works in oil fields expected to finish by end of May.

Production of coal, ferrous metals, iron ore will be stabilized by the end of 2019, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Roman Sklyar said.

“There are contracts for coal-mining enterprises, we will reach the planned figures. The ferrous metallurgy has already reached 12 thousand tons per day, by the end of May, about 340 000 tons of steel will be produced, by the end of May we will reach the planned indicators for the production of ferrous metallurgy,” said Sklyar.
