Russia?s oil major Yukos shares soared higher in opening trading after a Russian court ruled the company may temporarily retain control of its primary production division.
Yukos shares jumped 17.6 per cent to 4.41 dollars in opening trading on Moscow's RTS exchange after having plunged 12 per cent on Friday. At the MICEX, Yukos shares surged 19 per cent.
Friday's arbitration court ruling allowing Yukos to hold onto its shares in Yuganskneftegaz was announced after the market closed in Moscow.
