An oustanding soaring of European currency shook U.S. stocks Wednesday.
The euro climbed to $1.30 in early currency trading -- its best level ever against the U.S. dollar.
The euro was more recently at $1.2911, up 0.1 percent from Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the dollar was up 1.3 percent versus the Japanese yen at 107.01 yen.
