London Brent crude fell 87 cents to $41.35., sliding from Wednesday?s record, where it rose $2.97 - the biggest one-day jump since the 1990/1991 Gulf War.
The falls came after oil had jumped more than 7 per cent this week following top exporter Saudi Arabia's decision to cut deliveries for January under OPEC's latest pact to remove 1 million barrels per day of excess supply from the market.
