Oil prices soared on Thursday after a massive explosion at the BP?s oil refinery in Texas roused concerns over petrol supplies ahead of the summer driving season.
US light crude jumped $1.03 to $54.84 a barrel, after falling more than $3.50, or 6 per cent, in the previous two sessions on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
