U.S. gold futures rose on Thursday
U.S. gold futures rose on Thursday amid speculative short covering on the weaker U.S. dollar.
But, after two U.S. economic reports failed to make a splash, traders mainly were awaiting Friday's reports on U.S. payrolls and traders' commitments in Comex gold for further direction.
