Oil prices extended their decline, falling under $48
Oil prices extended their decline, falling under $48 to a three-month low on Friday, for the third session in a row due to report that US inventory levels have reached their highest levels for six years.
US crude oil fell 74 cents lower at $47.80, which was the weakest level since mid-February on the NYMEX. It marked a fall of nearly 20 per cent from the record-high of $58.28 hit on April 4.
