Gold's Up To Fresh Monthly Highs

New York precious metals staged a rally to fresh monthly highs on Thursday at the New York Mercantile Exchange, Dow Jones reported.

Front-month August gold settled up $2.60 at $427.40 while the most-active December contract settled $2.70 higher at $433.30 on the NYMEX's Comex division . During the session, both contracts broke to highs for the month at $428.60 for August and $434.70 for December.
