Crude oil prices touched $61 a barrel in Asian trade today as last week's explosion at a BP Texas refinery kindled worries over supply towards the end of the year.
US light sweet crude for September delivery rose 42 cents to $60.99 from its close of $60.57 on the NYMEX.
