Gold Slid To 2 weeks Low
Gold futures closed Thursday at a nearly two-week low after a fresh retreat in the U.S. dollar
Gold futures closed Thursday at a nearly two-week low after a fresh retreat in the U.S. dollar failed to take prices back above the $700 mark.
Prices finished the session almost 6% below their week-ago level of $721.50, which was the highest futures settlement price in nearly 26 years.
The consensus among traders remains that several sustained closings above $690 to $700 might be required to resume gold's climb beyond the $730 and $750 marks, analysts say.
