Oil Rose After Crude Inventories Fall Report

Oil rose, after having traded lower for much of the day, after weekly US inventory data showed a surprise fall in crude inventories and a decline in distillates that was in line with expectations.

At 4.04 pm in London, Brent North Sea crude contracts for January delivery were up 22 cents at $63.54 a barrel, after dropping 13 cents to $63.32 a barrel yesterday.

Meanwhile, front-month New York light sweet crude contracts for January delivery were up 4 cents at $62.47 a barrel, after losing a penny to close at $64.43 a barrel yesterday.
