World oil prices eased on Monday but held above 55 dollars per barrel as traders eyed cold weather in the United States and geopolitical developments concerning Iran.
In London, the price of Brent North Sea crude for March delivery slid 13 cents to 55.16 dollars per barrel in electronic trading.
