Gold rose a second day in London, erasing an earlier decline.
Bullion, traded in dollars, generally moves in the opposite direction of the U.S. currency, which was little changed against the euro after falling to a two-year low last week. The metal is up 4.2 percent this year and the dollar down about 1 percent.
