US Crude Oil Moves Toward $100
U.S. crude futures rose toward $99 a barrel early on Monday
U.S. crude futures climbed to $99 a barrel early on Monday, moving within reach of their record high, as the dollar remained near record lows and the onset of cold U.S. weather boosted expectations of fuel demand.
NYMEX crude for January delivery rose 45 cents to $98.63 by 2353 GMT in Globex electronic trading, building on the the 89-cent gains registered last Friday and closing in on the all-time high $99.29 touched last Wednesday.
London Brent crude rose 49 cents to $96.25 per barrel on the ICE Futures.
