Oil prices held close to record highs near $106 a barrel in Asia on Friday amid worries about supplies following OPEC's decision to keep output unchanged.
In morning trade in Asia, New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for delivery in April, rose 15 cents to 105.62 dollars per barrel.
US light sweet crude hit a record close of 105.47 dollars on Thursday after rallying to a an unprecedented intra-day high of 105.97 dollars at the New York Mercantile Exchange.
In London, Brent North Sea crude for April delivery also notched up a record finish, settling 97 cents higher at 102.61 dollars.
