Staff Shuffle At MICEX UPDATE

Now a MICEX extraordinary shareholders meeting is to vote on Korishchenko's candidacy. It's expected on Oct. 24.

During the news conference, Korishchenko pointed out the main focus of his future activity. It is "to draw conclusions from the problems that have recently arisen and to take appropriate steps to ensure that the market functions steadily".

The urgent task for MICEX now is to develop a centralized risk management system.

Korishchenko stressed that, "If the exchange aspires to be an organized market, it needs to leave participants in no doubt that it is the exchange that controls the risks".
