U.S. investment in the Moscow Region increased 250%, year-on-year in 2009 to $200 million, the press office of the Moscow Region governor said on Wednesday. “We are convinced that this is not yet the limit and the possibilities are much broader, which can be confirmed by the projects available in our investment portfolio,” Moscow Region governor Boris Gromov said at a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Beyrle.
The governor added that the increased activity of U.S. companies was evidence of their growing confidence in the Moscow Region. Overall, the Moscow Region received $4.6 billion in foreign investment in 2009.
