Uzbekneftegaz: The amount of harmful substances reduces to 38,679.39 tonnes compared to the established norm

Tashkent, November 9 - Neftegaz.RU. The departments and enterprises of the Uzbekneftegaz system have developed measures for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources for 2020 in agreement with the regional committees of ecology and environmental protection, UzDaily reported.

In accordance with it, Uzbekneftegaz plans to reduce air emissions by 2,706.8 tons, purify 11,600.0 m3 of wastewater, process 2.63 million m3 of wastewater, clean 10,411.3 tons of waste, reclaim 343.5 hectares of disturbed land, plant 21,200 trees.

During the reporting period of the current year, emissions into the atmosphere made up 14,981.48 tons, to wastewater - 1,654.0 tons, and the amount of waste - 38,679.39 tons less than the established norms.

In order to protect land resources and waste disposal, 230.19 hectares of degraded land were reclaimed. 2,306 tons of household and industrial waste were neutralized and disposed of. Plant protection - 33,774 ornamental and fruit trees were planted.

As a result of the implementation of the measure "Construction of sulfur production units" in order to compensate for the generated capacities in the Mubarek refinery, included in the measures for the rational use of natural resources for environmental protection for 2020 of Uzbekneftegaz, it is planned to reduce SO2 carbon dioxide emissions by 5-6 thousand tons.

In the management and at the enterprises of the Uzbekneftegaz system, work was organized to calculate compensation payments for environmental pollution and waste disposal, and the calculated compensation payments since the beginning of the year reached 1.05 billion soums ($96 509).
