Millionaire Jailed For Fraud And Murder

A multi-millionaire Wall Street broker was sentenced to 10 years and one month in prison for stocks fraud and trying to arrange the murder of his best friend.

Cary Cimino, 41 was charged in a series of wide-ranging frauds designed to inflate stock prices by cold-calling customers and hyping shares over the Internet. He also arranged bribes for corrupt brokers.

The judge rejected all pleas for leniency connected with possible psychological trauma received on September 11, 2001 when he was in his office.

Cimino also tried to convince a man to arrange the murder of one of his best friends though the threat was never serious.
