Airbus Continues Russian Push

European aircraft giant Airbus has launched a $10 million tender for Russian aircraft makers to make parts for э330/э340s and э320s, Airbus announced. Airbus sent its tender offers to the Kaskol aerospace holding, the Irkut corporation, and the Voronezh aircraft manufacturing facility. The agreements will be signed after personal meetings with tender participants and considering their proposals. This program will allow Russian aircraft-building industry to participate in Airbus`s construction program.

The Airbus program in Russia suggests growth in output, which might reach $40 million per year instead of an announced $10 million. The total cost of the construction of these parts is estimated at about $400 million.
