For 9 months of the current year Naftogaz of Ukraine imported 7.1 billion cubic meters of gas from the European countries, which is 2.4 billion cubic meters, or 53%, more than over the corresponding period last year, the company reported on October 12, 2017.
In 2017, as well as in 2016, no gas was imported to Ukraine from Russia.
This year Naftogaz bought gas from 12 European suppliers from Germany, Switzerland, France, the UK, the Czech Republic, Poland and Italy.
None of these companies supplied more than 30% of the entire volume of imported gas, Naftogaz commented.
The share of imports was 41%, with 59% procured from Ukrgazvydobuvannya, a 100%-owned upstream subsidiary of Naftogaz.
