TotalEnergies teams will operate and maintain the plant locally throughout its planned 30-year operating life.
The solar farm will have a capacity of 55 MW, the solar array is expected to generate around 64 GWh a year, corresponding to the annual needs of 38 000 people.
The project includes participative financing, where 212 residents of the region helped contribute $2.5 million to the plant, and protecting biodiversity with measures to create bat shelters and promote amphibian reproduction.Thierry Muller, CEO of TotalEnergies Renewables France, said:

The company aims to increase its gross renewable electricity capacity to 35 GW by 2025 and 100 GW by 2030.
