Russian Railways to offer discounts on transportation of crude oil to Belarus

Oil products made by the Belarusian refineries will be transported to Russian ports by rail

Moscow, April 7 - Neftegaz.RU. The Board of Russian Railways led by Chairman Oleg Belozerov decided to extend discounts on transportation of crude oil in tank-cars from several stations of South Urals Railway to the stations Barbarov and Novopolotsk of Belarusian Railways through the Russian border stations Zlynka and Rudnya, BelTA learned from the press service of Russian Railways.

The discount will amount to 26.3% on shipping from the station Sorochinskaya and to 33.5% – from the stations Buzuluk, Kargala, Orenburg, and Krasnogvardeyets.
The press service noted:

The special tariff will be introduced on 1 May and will be in place till the end of 2021, if the total volume of crude oil shipped via these routes will equal at least 0.95 million tonnes from 1 January to 31 December 2021

Russian Railways pointed out that earlier it introduced a long-term 50% discount on transportation of oil products form the stations Barbarov and Novopolotsk to the port stations of Oktyabrskaya Railway and on the return of empty tank-cars used to transport oil products.

This special discount will be valid till the end of 2025.

Belarus raised export duties on oil & oil products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on 1 April.

In line with the document the size of the export duty on crude oil, furnace oil, oil bitumen, petrolatum, paraffin, and waste oils will be $57.6 per tonne ($49.6 previously).
The export duty on straight-run gasoline has been set at $31.6 per tonne ($27.2 previously).
The size of the export duty on commercial gasoline, diesel fuel, light and middle distillates, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants will be $17.2 per tonne ($14.8 previously).
