“In August the Belarusian oil refineries will need 1.37 million tonnes of oil. Russian companies have confirmed the supply of 1.21 million tonnes, of which 77,000 tonnes will be delivered by rail, the rest - by the oil pipeline,” Aleksandr Tishchenko said.
In addition, Belarus expects two tankers carrying Azerbaijani and U.S. oil with a total volume of 160,000 tonnes.
In August, the Novopolotsk refinery will start the scheduled maintenance on a number of its facilities, so the bulk of the processing will be done by the Mozyr refinery which has already completed such works. Last night, a tanker with Azerbaijani oil arrived at the port of Yuzhny, the spokesman added.
Deliveries
of Russian crude to Belarus fell 37.4% on year in January-July to 6.14 million mt. according to preliminary data from the Russian energy ministry. This is equivalent to around 211,313 b/d.
