Belarus may import 5.75 million tonnes of Russian oil by pipeline in Q3 2020

Belarus may import 5.75 million tonnes of Russian oil by pipeline in Q3 2020

Minsk, June 19 – Neftegaz.RU. The schedule for importing oil from Russia to Belarus by pipeline in Q3 2020 has been agreed at 5.75 million tonnes, BelTA learned from Aleksandr Tishchenko, Press Secretary of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim.

According to the source, the schedule for delivering Russian oil to Belarusian oil refineries by pipeline in Q3 2020 has been agreed with the Russian Energy Ministry at 5.75 million tonnes. Each refinery will get 2.875 million tonnes.

Ten companies will supply oil to Belarus: Rosneft, Lukoil, Surgutneftegas, Gazprom Neft, Tatneft, Bashneft, RussNeft, Zarubezhneft, Yangpur, and Neftisa.

The schedule was put together bearing in mind this year's indicative oil trade balance sheet, which provides for importing 24 million tonnes of oil from Russia, including 23 million tonnes by pipeline and 1 million tonnes by rail.

Specific volumes of oil acquisition will be determined on a monthly basis depending on the state of the market and the technical ability of the oil refineries to process oil, Aleksandr Tishchenko pointed out.

“We are still working on specific delivery volumes for July and will talk about it later,” the press secretary specified.
