Putin's Danish counterpart Lars Lokke Rasmussen will also attend the opening of the cargo route Guayaquil (Ecuador) - Panama Canal - Rotterdam - Bremerhaven - St. Petersburg.


The route is the first direct transoceanic cargo transportation way between Latin America and Russia. A Danish company will run the line. Putin will also meet with Finnish President Tarja Halonen and Finnish businessmen.
