Born: February 24, 1961.
1983 - graduated from the Voznesenskiy Finance and Economics Institute in Leningrad (currently - The St. Petersburg University of Finance and Economics).
1989 - Ph.D. in Economics from the Institute.
1997 - received a Doctor’s Degree from the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Science.
1983-1989 - worked in the Leningrad Finance and Economics Institute.
1991-1993 - member of the Supreme Soviet of The Russian Federation; Deputy chairman, Committee for Regional Policy.
1993-1994 - member of the Russian President’s Commission for Legislative proposals.
1994-1995 - Deputy Director of the Institute for Economic Analyses.
1996-1997 - Director of Moscow Carnegie Center’s economic program.
1997-1998 - First Deputy Minister for Labor and Social Development.
1998-2000 - member of the Science Board, Moscow Carnegie Center.
2000-May 2004 - First Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade.
June 2004 - Research Director, Center for Strategic Research;
Oct. 2005 - Jan. 2014 - President of the Center for Strategic Research.
