Biography
Born April 30, 1963 in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine.
Graduated in 1985 from the Far Eastern Admiral Nevelsky Higher Engineering School.
1985-1989, engineer of Nakhodka steamship line.
1989- 1991, head of foreign ties department, Dialog-Nakhodka joint venture; co-authored law on free economic zone in the city of Nakhodka.
1991- first deputy chairman of Nakhodka city Council of People’s Deputies
1992 - 1994, financial director of administrative committee, Nakhodka free economic zone.
1994 - 1995, chairman of the board of directors, Moscow Financial and Investment Co.
1995 - 1996, representative of Averbach Grayson & Co. in New York, US.
1996 - 1998, vice-chairman of the Federal Commission for the Securities Market.
1998-2001, vice-chairman of the board, Unified Energy System of Russia (RAO EES).
From 2001-2012 - Federation Council member of the for Saratov region.
Valentin Zavadnikov is the partner, cofounder of the Moscow school of management Skolkovo.
Since 2012 -Vice President at Skolkovo Moscow School of Management.
He is also on the Board of Directors at Synergy Co.
Zavadnikov is married and has a daughter.
In his spare time participates in yachting competitions world-wide.
