He was born in 1940 in Penza region. Gradated from Irkutsk Polytechnical Institute. Worked at Angarsk petrochemical plant. Since 1976 v head of the technical department , secretary of the Party committee of Ziminsk plant of the All-Union association "Soyuzchlor".
Since 1984 v instructor of chemical industry department of Irkutsk CPSU committee.
In 1988 v he was appointed general director of Irkutsknefteproduct Co.
Since September, 1997 v general manager of JSC Irkutsknefteproduct.
