Biography
Born in 1948 in Kuibyshev region.
In 1972 - graduated from Kuibyshev Polytechnical Institute, qualification - technology and complex mechanization of oil and gas deposits development.
Upon graduation worked as an engineer at the production association "Kuibyshevneft".
Since 1976 - occupied different positions at the production association "Nizhnevartovskneftegaz".
In 1989 was directed to Kuba as a Minister counsellor. Then was appointed chief engineer of the association "Tengizneftegaz", then first deputy general director of "Tumenneftegaz".
Since 1991 - vice-president of "Rosneftegaz" Corp, since March, 1992 - Chairman of oil industry committee of RF Ministry of fuel and power.
In April, 1993 - appointed deputy chairman of the guardian soviet - first vice-president of the State enterprise "Rosneft".
In 1997 - left the company.
1996-1998 — first Deputy Minister of fuel and energy of the Russian Federation; later acting Minister.
In November 1998, was dismissed at his own request.
Since 1999 — 2013 General Director of JSC "Strojtransgaz oil" (Moscow).
Member of board of directors of oil company Rosneft.
Made a significant contribution to the exploration and development of oil and gas fields in Western Siberia.
He took an active part in the development of the oil industry after the dissolution of the USSR.

Married, has 2 daughters.
