He was born in 1940.
He graduated from the Ufa Oil Institute.
1967-1975 - he worked in the oil and gas extracting department "Surgutneft", then he was the chief engineer of the oil and gas extracting department "Pravdinskneft".
1977-1981 - chief engineer, general director deputy of the company "Yuganskneftegas".
1981-1995 - General director of "Noyabrskneftegas".
1995-1997 - the first President of the oil company "Sibneft" (today Gazprom Neft).
